AJ Ross Creative Media Announces New Hires, Promotions

SUGAR LOAF, NY - Allan Ross, president and founder of AJ Ross Creative Media, is pleased to announce personnel changes at the full-service marketing firm. These new hires and promotions will further enhance the client experience and expand the firm's available services. 

Matt Ross, who began working at the firm while still in high school, has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Digital Services. An experienced web designer and programmer, Ross has a strong working knowledge of a variety of programming platforms, including HTML, PHP, CSS, Javascript / jQuery, CMS, and E-Commerce environments. Ross is also an accomplished musician who has played and recorded with a variety of talented artists in the tri-state area and has three published albums to his credit. He is a graduate of SUNY New Paltz where he studied computer science.

"It's not every day a father has a front row seat to view his son's career growth and success. Matt joined the AJ Ross Creative Media team 18 years ago working part-time in high school to get some hands-on experience in web design and programming," said Allan Ross. "Turns out he had a talent and a passion for the job and he has worked diligently throughout the years to stay abreast, or ahead of, the latest tools and technology to meet the digital needs of our clients and bring their products and messages to life online," added Ross. 

Matt Dorcas has joined the firm as Executive Vice President of Business Development. In this role, Dorcas will lead the agency's business recruitment and retention efforts in order to enhance and expand the client base.  

Dorcas, an award-winning marketing professional, has worked in the field for more than two decades. He won a grand prize in creative commercial production from the Cable Advertising Awards and two silver Tellys for his work with the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges. He also produced an award-winning short film with the renowned Maya Angelou. Most recently, Dorcas received the 2016 Edward A. Diana Alumni Leadership Award from SUNY Orange.

Dorcas will be integral in sales, agency relations, and client servicing. Prior to joining AJ Ross Creative Media, Dorcas served as Chief Operating Officer at Clutter Studios.  

Graphic designer and recent Marist College graduate Garrett Kogel was promoted to a full-time designer position at AJ Ross Creative Media. Kogel has worked his way up through the ranks at the agency having started as an intern and then working as a freelancer. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in May and minored in photography.  

"Garrett is an excellent addition to the AJ Ross team," said Allan Ross. "He has a talent for design and a passion for creating art for the everyday person. We are delighted that he's chosen this firm to launch his professional career."
